Jayemaich (Jay) is an American street artist, currently based out of New Jersey, who creates his noir-styled pieces to invoke emotional responses to his dramatic artwork through the use of monochromatic tones and rigid imagery.

Jayemaich is a word created from his initials (JMH) and is pronounced the same way. Jay was born in New Jersey and often, with his brother and best friend, frequented New York City as kids to roam the streets, go to clubs and immerse himself in the culture of the 90’s New York. His passion for street art began with a unique style of graffiti and over time evolved into noir styled imagery based on gritty and classical aesthetics where he feels he can create the most emotional work.

Jay’s artwork is based on highlighting characters who live in the shadows of society and bringing their stories to the forefront. While he began with graffiti, Jay’s portraits and metaphorical content combined with monochromatic gray tones create dramatic pieces which are powerfully emotional and complex; something he feels stays with the viewer over time. Jay wants his work to touch the raw emotion of humanity…where he believes true art lives.

Jay’s projects include artwork in:
